CamInfo is Cambodia’s socio-economic database system which provides a common platform for government, development partners, NGOs and civil society to organize and present data on development indicators. CamInfo is the localized version of DevInfo v5, the global database system which monitors progress towards the Millennium Development Goals. The database structure consists of the following elements: - Indicators: related to Cambodia Millennium Development Goals (CMDGs), National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP), Education, Health, Cambodia Nutrition Investment Plan and others;
- Time Periods: 1976 to 2020;
- Geographic Areas: national, provincial, district and commune level;
- Subgroups (Sex: Male and Female; Location: Urban, Rural, Remote Area, others; Age Groups: by months, quarter and years)
- Units: Number, Percent, kilometre, hours, Tone, etc, as appropriate for each indicator
- Sources: surveys, censuses and administrative data from the National Institute of Statistics, Ministry of Planning (MoP), Government Line-Ministries, UN, NGOs, etc.
- Metadata: for additional information on indicators such as definition, method of computation, limitations, notes, etc.
CamInfo is a user-friendly software application for easy presentation of indicator data in tables, graphs and maps. The system provides easy access to indicators organized by sectors, goals, themes and other monitoring frameworks. All features of the software are available in both Khmer and English language. CamInfo 1.0 was launched in March 2004. This was followed by CamInfo 1.1 (November 2004), CamInfo 2.0 (April 2005), CamInfo 2.1 (February 2006), CamInfo 3.0 (May 2007), now CamInfo 3.1 (May 2008) and now CamInfo 3.2 (June 2009) The new features in CamInfo 3.2 include the following: - Final results of the Cambodia Demographic and Health Survey 2005

- Time-series data for EMIS MAFF and HMIS at provincial and district level
- Inbuilt gallery of tables, graphs and maps covering the CMDGs, NSDP and Cambodia Nutrition Investment Plan.

CamInfo 3.2 will be made available online soon. An online search gallery is also available at http://www.caminfo.org. Proper standardization, organization and dissemination of indicator data, such as that provided by DevInfo/CamInfo, is essential to fulfilling UNICEF’s mandate. GTZ in Cambodia Cambodia is a priority partner country for German development cooperation. GTZ has been operating in the country on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) since 1994.
