Cambodia's GDP grew by 6.0% 2024
Cambodia’s economy grew byby 6.0% in 2024, strengthening from the 5.0 % growth recorded in 2023. This marks the second consecutive year of recovery following the sharp slowdown during 2020–2021. Growth in 2024 was driven mainly by a strong rebound in Industry, while Services also continued to expand. Agriculture recorded modest but stable growth.

Sectoral Performance

1. Agriculture

Agriculture grew by 1.0% in 2024, slightly slower than the 1.1% in 2023. The sector continues to show low but stable growth, without major fluctuations over the decade. However, its modest growth means agriculture contributed only marginally to overall GDP expansion.

2. Industry

The Industrial sector grew strongly by 9.9% in 2024, up from 5.4 % in 2023. This represents the fastest industrial expansion since 2018, reflecting robust performance in manufacturing activities, construction recovery, and export-oriented production. Industry was the primary driver of Cambodia’s overall economic growth in 2024.

3. Services

Services expanded by 4.3 % in 2024, moderating from the 6.0 % growth in 2023. Despite the moderation, Services continues its recovery from the deep contractions of 2020–2021, supported by tourism, transportation, trade, and business services.
